Polar Skate Co. was founded by the legendary Pontus Alv, after he had dedicated himself to working with Cliché and Mad Circle in the early 2000s, traveling the world with them.

Pontus Alv decided to return to his hometown in Sweden in 2003 to focus on his future projects, which primarily involved skateboarding filmmaking.

During those years, Pontus Alv became a renowned filmmaker, creating two timeless skate movie classics—“Strongest Of The Strange” and “In Search Of The Miraculous”—which established Pontus in the global skateboarding scene.

Thanks to all the experience he gained after returning to Malmö around 2011, Pontus Alv decided to launch his brand, Polar Skate Co., and began working on the project with all his energy.
