Polar Skate Co. was created by skateboarding legend Pontus Alv. After working with Cliché and Mad Circle in the early 2000s and travelling the world, Pontus returned to his hometown in Sweden in 2003 to focus on future projects, particularly skateboard filmmaking. He went on to create two timeless skate films, "The Strongest of the Strange" and "In Search of the Miraculous", establishing his reputation in the global skateboarding scene. Drawing on this experience, Pontus launched Polar Skate Co. in Malmö around 2011 and devoted himself fully to the project.
