Creature Skateboards was founded by legendary skater Darren Navarette, who recently celebrated 25 years with the brand. Navarette’s story is all about transitions and half-pipes. Darren was born in Minneapolis in October 1976, where he grew up and spent his childhood. As soon as he started skating, he was drawn to transitions and curves. He began his career on the half-pipe and quickly improved until he reached professional level. Life has never been easy for vert skaters, especially Darren Navarette. Despite his passion for vert, he never stopped riding transitions, even when vert skating had almost disappeared during the 1990s.
