The “screaming hand” logo was used in 2013 at a fashion show, and many garments were designed with the iconic logo on them. The entire skateboarding community protested this misuse, and those responsible had to apologize and admit their mistake.

Recently, Santa Cruz Skateboards celebrated 40 years of skateboarding. Back in 1973, Mr. Novak, Doug Haut, and Jay Shuirman founded NHS.

Forty years later, NHS is now a company with extremely high revenue and the oldest and most renowned in the skateboarding industry; today, NHS is undoubtedly the Mount Everest of global production. It also boasts a massive fanbase.

The Santa Cruz Skateboards team has featured pros of the caliber of Eric Dressen, Jason Jesse, Tim Brauch, Rob Roskopp, Tom Knox, and Christian Hosoi.

These skaters have truly made skateboarding and its history great, and legends like Hosoi, in particular, popularized magical vert tricks like the “Christ Air.” Meanwhile, on the street scene, there was Tom Knox, who in the late ’80s set the standard like few others with tricks like the hurricane grind and all kinds of no-complies.

Today’s team is made up of big names, with Tom Asta standing out as one of the strongest street skaters of the past 10 years. Today, the team also includes Jake Wooten, who has just joined the family, and Maurio Mc Coy, a young and incredibly powerful skater with tricks that will make you shiver.

In addition to them, we find prominent names such as Eric Winkowsky, Kevin Braun, Tom Remillard, Jereme Knibbs, Tom Knox, Emanuel Guzman, and Fabiana Delfino.

SANTA CRUZ VX SKATEBOARD

If we compare it to a standard 7-ply maple deck (the classic 7-ply), the VX deck, on the other hand, has 5 layers of wood and two additional layers of “Quad X Technology.” Quad X Technology consists of a blend of carbon and glass fibers interwoven together.

These super-fiber layers are placed as the top layer and the bottom layer, respectively. When you try a VX, you’ll be incredibly satisfied with its quality.

With this technology, VX skateboard decks are much thinner than a standard skateboard deck. Additionally, VX decks have a longer lifespan with extremely high pop and superior performance.
